This educational program is intended for psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician associates/physician assistants, general and family practice physicians, gerontologists, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, and other HCPs who treat patients with tardive dyskinesia who may benefit from this education.
The goal of this program is to provide the latest information spanning a variety of topics about tardive dyskinesia, including screening, diagnosis, and treatment, with considerations for special populations and tardive dyskinesia in long-term care and aging populations.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Identify relative prevalence and risk of TD across various disease states
Interpret screening tools for the identification of TD, including patient and caregiver reports
Construct an individualized treatment plan for patients with TD with age-related or other special characteristics
