The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Alzheimer's.

Target Audience
This program is intended for interprofessional healthcare professionals who care for patients with AAD in specialty and primary care practice settings, including nurse practitioners and physician associates. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Utilize unique communication strategies to elicit a thorough AAD symptom history from caregivers
  • Devise strategies for effectively engaging with caregivers to assess AAD symptoms*
  • Employ evidence-based tools for the assessment and diagnosis of AAD
  • Analyze the limitations of historical treatment options for AAD, including efficacy and safety of atypical antipsychotics
  • Assess the latest clinical evidence for new and emerging options for the treatment of AAD
