Updates in the Management of Migraine Headache: New Options to Enhance Outcomes

Migraine is a debilitating neurologic disorder that occurs in about 17% of women and 6% of men in the United States. It affects all aspects of life&mdash from work and school attendance and performance to family life leisure time personal relationships and finances. Unfortunately migraine is often underdiagnosed and undertreated. This program will review the symptoms of and diagnostic criteria for migraine appropriate use of traditional therapies and the role of new and emerging therapies in the management of patients with episodic and chronic migraine.
